This week, we talk about previous episodes and experiment with other amateur occupations.
I was let go with no notice 2 weeks ago, literally 3 hours before I got on a plane for a 2 week trip to Europe (they gave me multiple raises over the last year, then let me go because they could no longer afford to pay my hourly wage, yay America?). First, should I sue for the emotional distress caused by being let go in this manner? Second, and the actual question for the cards, I know I can get hired quickly and easily at a restaurant or cafe, but instead am hoping to take this time of unemployment to focus on finding a remote position which would allow me to do some extensive traveling in the fall. Should I be financially responsible and fall into an easy job, or take some time to focus on finding a job that could lead to both happiness in travel and potential for an actual career (401k, what?!)?Rebecca (St. Louis)
We used the Sakki-Sakki deck by Monicka Cleo Sakki for this week’s question. Ben declares this Picasso-esque deck with an artful use of heads vs. no-heads is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
This Week’s 3-Card Tarot Reading
The Past: FOUR OF COINS | The Present: EIGHT OF CUPS | The Future: PAGE OF SWORDS
Our advice: You were holding on to your old job out of fear. This loss is an opportunity to find a job that is holistically satisfying. This new opportunity will start you down a new path, requiring you to kind of start over and to learn a new skillset.
