This week, we’re all aware of that Denzel Washington movie and we discuss the NEW “poor man’s copyright.”

I’ve been working in the finance industry for 15 years and while I am very good at my job I’m also very, very bored of it. I’m also at a loss when thinking about different avenues for my career. Cooking has brought me joy but the idea of cooking professionally does not appeal to me. I’m also an amateur tarot reader, having practiced for about a year. So my question is – how can I make money and be happy at the same time?

Lynn (Philadelphia, PA)

We used the Radiant Rider-Waite by Pamela Coleman Smith and Arthur E. Waite. It’s very much just the Rider Waite Deck with muted colors (or as Ben says, “slightly worse”). Radiant means gradient, and we have gradations of color instead of solid blocks. The characters are also a little bit rounder. Ben gives this one a ⭐️⭐️/5

This Week’s 3-Card Tarot Reading

The Past: FIVE OF WANDS | The Present: STAR | The Future: ACE OF SWORDS | Clarifier: KNIGHT OF COINS

Our advice: You have competing internal impulses, and you’re not sure which one will take the day (Five of Wands). You feel like you need a guide to point you in the right direction (Star). You’ll be going on a new intellectual pursuit (Ace of Swords), but you’ll be keeping your old job. You’re going to pursue another avenue and it will be purely a passion project, but will help push you into happiness (Knight of Coins).

The Card of the Week

We’re using the Hanson-Roberts deck by Mary Hanson-Roberts this week.

Tarot Card of the Week: Ten of Wands

Keywords: Excessive pressures, Problems soon-to-be solved, Striving to meet a goal or to maintain a certain level or position. Possibly using power to selfish ends.

Work with integrity this week. Do what you should, not just what you have to do.
